Terms and Conditions

• King Power members are entitled to the privilege of booking with M.T. Drive Car Rental at discounted rental rate during 1 October 2023 – 30 June 2024.
• The offer is inapplicable for blackout periods; 1 December 2023 – 11 December 2023, 22 December 2023 – 2 January 2024, 8 February 2024 – 11 February 2024 and 5 April 2024 – 16 April 2024.
• Renter must possess a valid driving permit and book the rental before travel date at www.drivecarrental.com/offers/kpg or contact SMT Call Center at 02-821-5992.
• To be qualified for discounted rental rate, King Power membership verification and e-code are required upon rental pickup. Failure to do so would result in additional payment of discrepancy based on walk-in rate on the pickup date.
• Quotation of a promo code is required for booking through SMT Call Center.
• For rental booked through www.drivecarrental.com/special-promotions, a screenshot of promo code and the credit card used in the payment must be presented to SMT staff upon vehicle pickup.
• Rental rate is inclusive of personal accident insurance and super collision damage waiver and is exclusive of cover damage to tires, front & rear windscreens, front & rear windows and quarter windows.
• Requirements to rent a car
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Main and additional drivers must present a valid national ID card or passport and driving permit that is still valid for 1 year at least.
  • Drivers must have a clean driving record with reckless driving conviction.
  • Renter must possess an international driving permit or its authorised Thai translation.
  • Renter must be the owner of a credit card which has enough credit to cover the rent (a minimum of THB10,000).
• Pre-authorised credit: The credit card company will pre-authorise the credit card transaction of the rental depending on the make, model and engine capacity of a vehicle; 1.2-1.6 cc would require THB10,000 pre-authorised credit while 1.8 cc or higher would require THB20,000 pre-authorised credit. The authorisation would be deactivated when the vehicle has been returned in proper condition.
• If renter requires that the vehicle be delivered and collected at the location outside SMT, please contact SMT Call Center at 02-821-5992. Vehicle delivery and collection services are offered at the rate based on services within Bangkok as follows;
  • Free of charge for the distance of 20 kilometres or less for 7-day rental or more
  • For the distance ranging from 21-30 kilometres, THB321 is charged/trip
  • For the distance ranging from 31-50 kilometres, THB535 is charged/trip
  • For the distance ranging from 51-70 kilometres, THB749 is charged/trip
  • Delivery and collection of vehicle to or from the location outside Bangkok that is further than 70 kilometres away is charged according to the actual distance.
  • For rental of less than 7 days or rental at SMT outside Bangkok, please contact Reservations Department for further details.
• No surcharge for late return of 1 hour or less.
• Conditions of rental date change
  • One change on rental date is allowed
  • The new rental date must be the date that is within a month of the original date.
  • Should a rental date be changed, SMT must be notified at least 48 hours before vehicle pickup time.
  • Note: Rental date change must be notified by contacting Reservations Department through SMT Call Center.
• SMT reserves the right to decline booking in the event of no vehicle availability during long holidays and special occasion.
• Terms and conditions are governed by King Power and SMT and are subject to changes without prior notice.
